A world without sight is not something that can be understood simply just by closing your eyes.
Yu Qian, a blind radio DJ, uses her whole heart to feel all the people and things around her although she can't see them. After meeting and falling in love with a diving instructor, Ren Hao Yang, during a holiday in Green Island, to love or not to love has become their biggest dilemma. This is because Ren already has a long-term girlfriend, Yvonne (Zheng Wan). Sensing that something has changed in Ren, Yvonne forces herself to learn diving even though she is very afraid of being in water. Not wanting Ren to betray his girlfriend, Yu Qian painfully leaves the relationship. Even though Ren has his reasons, he is still hesitantly in dilemma between these two women.
Other than the three main characters, Yu Qiang, Xiao Yun, Ah Min, Yu Qian and Yu Qiang's parents also play important roles in this drama series. Their appearances often bring upon a lively and harmonious atmosphere to this story.
To sum it all up, this drama series is actually not bad in many ways. The storyline which is filled with many interesting scenes should actually be praised. Besides that, the script also scores good as it also supplies many good thoughts and lessons for the audience. Perhaps not noticed by many, the one who acted as Yu Qian's fellow blind classmate, Xiao Zhen, is actually played by the screenwriter of this series! Besides that, the choreographer and music also adds marks to this series, making it even more enjoyable.
Other things that should be mentioned here is the frequent beautiful ocean view scenes that lives up to the main male character's profession as a diving instructor. This kind of scenery can seldom be seen in most Taiwan drama series. This beautiful and peaceful ocean scenery especially contributes even more to the sorrow at the end of this drama series.
In year 2001, other than trying to excel and be independant in music, and also trying to succeed in everything within his reach, Michael also tries his hands in acting. Besides showing off his acting skills for the first time by acting together with Richie Ren and Ah Niu in a movie called Summer Holidays, he also took part in playing characters in GTV's two other drama series, White Love and Lucky.
As a Guang Liang fan,it's undeniable that watching this drama series brings a pleasureable experience. Michael not only plays a role in it, but the theme song and the ending song is also sang by him. Besides that, even the transition part of the series uses his song.
White Love is Michael's first drama series. In this series, he plays a blind-baseball team's coach named 'Ah Min', who secretly admires his classmate, Yu Qiang's blind sister, Yu Qian. Very much attached to his unrequited love towards Yu Qian, Ah Min just cannot seem to understand Xiao Yun's feelings towards him. Michael acts as a very honest Ah Min, who silently embraces his loyal love towards Yu Qian, regardless of whether there'll be a happy ending to it. Despite that, he is always there to comfort a love-distressed Yu Qian. Sometimes, the audience may even feel very sorry for him!
