The opening of this drama series brings upon a great impact, revealing the sins that human beings have been sinking into.It also tells the reason of why the angel of the story decides to descend to earth; an angel who believes that the human race is actually still good and should be saved. The angel disagrees with God's trial to the human race, and hence, this brings him down to earth with a mission. The mission to see, to hear, to feel, to search for the ultimate truth.
Kang Kai, a father who single-handedly raised his three daughters, brought the angel home after discovering him out of fate. Because of his initial complicated name, Kang Kai decides to name the angel Tian Zhen (Innocent), as how he is, although Kang Kai finds him a bit odd because the young man that he had picked up from the streets kept on insisting that he is an angel. Tian Zhen who is an angel who didn't quite understood the affairs on earth, eventually became a joke and suffered from sorrow on earth. However, Tian Zhen who is kind-hearted and good tries his best to feel every single person, and also help all those who needed his help.Even though he fails sometimes, he perseveres to do good by helping people on earth.
This story revolves around the ups and downs in the lives of the Kang family and all those around them. With the demon arriving on earth to put the human race's real nature to test, will the human race be put into light or darkness? When one is weak,in doubt or hesitant, the demon appears in the heart to shove them towards the bad side. On the contrary, Tian Zhen works hard to lead the confused internal souls of those who are affected by the demon's awful works back to the good side.
Even though he has been misunderstood for countless times, the kind-hearted and good Tian Zhen has full confidence towards the human race.When he unexpectedly falls in love with Jia Rou, the youngest daughter of the Kang family, the angel finds himself attached to the human world with love. This story of an golden angel who is compassionate and close to everybody's lives,has managed to produce a heart-warming drama series.This series is remarkable because of its storyline that features the contrasts of an angel and a demon,romance,and love on earth.The warmth of the story about the good attempts of an angel to save the human race and the lessons to appreciate the good things in life has made this series very comfortable and enjoyable to watch.
This time, Michael still plays the role of a man who works as a driving instructor who is very loyal to his unrequited love - Jin Cheng. But fortunately in this series, he doesn't have to love alone again. Facing Jia Ling, a girl who is rough and reckless in her own ways, Jin Cheng tries with all his might to support her. He is ever willing to be scolded and blamed,and is always obedient to her. This continues until another girl appears in his life. This not only doesn't affect his love towards Jia Ling, but it somehow reveals the undiscovered, long-time love between them. The similar thing in Di Yi Ci's MV also happens in this series, whereby Jin Cheng finally gets his chance to reveal his love towards Jia Ling. After this revealation scene of love, these two find themselves caught helplessly in lovey-dovey and romantic scenes. Not only Valentine's day, this pair of lovebirds even celebrate the first time they both held hands!
Talking about Michael's performance in this series, the classic episode 7 & 20 is definitely worth a watch. This is because these two episodes mostly revolves around the love story of Jin Cheng and Jia Ling!In this series where romance is involved, Michael played his role very well. For example is during the scene where Jin Cheng argues with Jia Ling on his birthday, hurting both.The part where he daren't reveal the real words of his heart scores good! In another scene when he was in the middle of preparations for their wedding,Jia Ling suddenly retreats from the wedding. His weary emotions during that scene is very pitiful! When Mr Kang asks him not to cancel the wedding, his eyes could be seen shining with tears!
And how is Jin Cheng when he gets angry with Jia Ling sometimes? When he discovers that Jia Ling used his hard-earned money to spend on clothes, he didn't dare to scold her directly but he could only complain in his heart. "You good-for-nothing liar, you sly money-sucker!"In the end, because of Tian Zhen's ability to study one's heart, Jin Cheng's real complaints were heard. This part is really funny because Michael's frustrated expressions were really good!
Jia Ling's illusion from her fears of suffering after getting married is really quite humorous. In her illusion,it even had amiddle-aged,alcoholic,and pot-bellied Jin Cheng featured in it! And in this scene is where you'll get the chance to see Michael in glasses for once too! At the ending of this drama, Jin Cheng pleasantly became a father. Michael's course in life also changed, this time teaching his child instead to drive a car. His gentle appearance in this scene gave everyone quite a surprise!
